Durck DeWinter, P.Eng.
Senior Vice President
Durck graduated with a bachelor of science in civil engineering from the University of New Brunswick in 1991. He has over 25 years of experience in the Atlantic construction markets.
Durck began his career in 1991 as a construction manager and quickly progressed to the role of general manager in 1994 and in 1999, he became vice president of Bird's predecessor company. Durck joined Bird through the Rideau Construction acquisition in 2008. In 2013, Durck was appointed to vice president strategic development for Atlantic Canada where he actively pursued valued added projects and services to add to Bird's construction portfolio. In 2016, he was appointed to the role of senior vice president and Atlantic district manager, assuming executive leadership responsibilities for Bird's Atlantic district offices. Durck continues to provide executive oversight to all aspects of the Atlantic District and has recently assumed executive oversite to the Winnipeg District. Additionally, Durck also takes the lead in guiding Bird’s Indigenous Business Relations efforts.
He is a registered professional engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers of New Brunswick. Durck is a Gold Seal Certified professional and he was also past president of the Saint John Construction Association.
