Bird breaks ground on new multi-service facility and fire station

The new two-storey Royal Vista Multi-Service Facility and Fire Station 34 located in Calgary will be 23,000-square-feet. The multi-service facility will also house Animal & Bylaw Services (ABS) and other City services. The building will have one drive-through bay and two standard bays complete with vehicle exhaust system. The $17 million facility is targeting LEED Gold certification, featuring a green roof and high efficiency water and light fixtures.

Last week, Bird joined Mayor Nenshi, Ward 2 Councillor Joe Magliocca, Director ABS Ryan Jestin and Fire Chief Steve Dongworth to perform the ceremonial first dig alongside Calgary fire and emergency response crews.
