Sodium Hypochloride and Bulk Chemical Storage Buildings

Together the buildings provide the water treatment plant with all the necessary process chemicals and electrical power. The buildings are composed of structural steel frames with masonry and steel studs, drywall infill and metal cladding. Major process equipment includes sodium hypochlorite generators, chemical gear pumps, 14 fibreglass reinforced plastic tanks and four stainless steel tanks. Each of the tanks are designed to hold between 66,623 to 100,000 litres of process chemicals. The two buildings are connected to the water treatment plant via a skyway bridge that allows power and process chemicals to be conveyed to the water treatment plant.
