Some of the challenges the Bird team experienced included an aggressive schedule while the rest of the building remained operational throughout the entire project. Careful planning and scheduling were the fundamental parts of the project success. Ongoing communication with the staff and strategic sequencing of the work, including night work, ensured minimal disruption. Phased construction also eased the transition for employees, as no one spent an extended amount of time in swing spaces.

Targeting LEED Silver certification, the project was completed ahead of schedule and under budget.
