|CONTRACT TYPE:||CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT|
Prior to the construction of the new Calgary Emergency Operations Control Centre, Bird had to temporarily relocate the operations centre while the new facility was being built. The team relocated the centre to an existing and occupied fire hall, which Bird completed in two phases.
Phase one included new millwork, access flooring, carpet and resilient flooring, and electrical and mechanical upgrades. The Bird team completed new offices and administration areas, as well as the 911 call centre. Phase two consisted of a standalone generator building that was built outside of the facility.
