Genesee III Foundations

The project included two contracts - one with EPCOR for the underground piping, excavation and concrete foundations and the second contract is with Hitachi for the turbine generator foundation. The two contracts combined involved placing over 41,200 cubic meters of concrete in eight months. The largest foundation on this project consisted of three concrete pours of 2,675 cubic meters each for the boiler house. These pours required the use of four concrete pumps and 45 concrete trucks from three different batch plants.
