Heartland Administration and Maintenance Building

This single storey, steel complex building with a sloped metal roof accommodates the client's growth in the oilsands industry. The building includes a control room, offices, a warehouse and maintenance space. Bird also constructed a full masonry firewall, extending four feet above the roof line, dividing the office area from the maintenance area. Installed of a new power grid with an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system for the control room was also included to ensure power remains available in the event of a power outage.
