Manitoba Hydro High Voltage Test Facility

The facility is an eight-storey clear-span test hall attached to a two-storey office and warehouse. Among the special features of this project is an extensive grounding system that is incorporated into the entire structure. More than 7,700 kilograms of copper mesh is cast within the structural slab. In order to prevent the entry or escape of an electromagnetic field, the mesh is connected to the metal cladding and foundation rebar directing the path of grounding through the driven precast piles. Our team's accuracy and attention to detail was paramount to the success of the grounding system - our commitment to quality assurance and control has ensured that all tests performed within this facility can be executed safely.
