The Picadilly deposit stretches north-east from Sussex to beyond the community of Penobsquis, 15 kilometres away. These two communities are the chosen locations of potash extraction. Bird has completed: mine dry foundation construction; mill building foundation construction; salt storage building roofing and cladding; compaction plant roofing and cladding; sub-station conveyor gallery foundation; two brineline pumphouses and mechanical works; a four-storey 4,645-square-metre administration building; and shops and warehouse building.

Common to all these projects is the outstanding safety record. By closely monitoring production throughout all projects and managing the multiple trades on site, Bird successfully delivered zero lost time injuries throughout the Picadilly sites.
