Renovation projects for the gallery have included the expansion of the vault storage area, enhancing the gallery’s ability to manage, care and circulate its collections; and the replacement of the aging roof, transforming the rooftop back to its original splendour. To safeguard the numerous collections, HVAC systems were upgraded and complex humidity control systems were installed. Most recently Bird has upgraded the penthouse envelope and interior space with new framing and metal siding.
