Des travailleurs en tenue de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 sont visibles pr\u00e8s de l&#039;ouverture qui m\u00e8ne \u00e0 l&#039;eau.\" class=\"wp-image-5349\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdn.bird.ca\/2025\/03\/20210112\/Noventa-Toronto-Western-Hospital-WET_Feature-1.jpg 700w, https:\/\/cdn.bird.ca\/2025\/03\/20210112\/Noventa-Toronto-Western-Hospital-WET_Feature-1-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cdn.bird.ca\/2025\/03\/20210112\/Noventa-Toronto-Western-Hospital-WET_Feature-1-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<p>On estime que l'h\u00f4pital r\u00e9duira les \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre de plus de 250 000 tonnes au cours des 30 prochaines ann\u00e9es, en rempla\u00e7ant 1,35 million de m\u00e8tres cubes de gaz naturel, 143 000 m\u00e9gawattheures de consommation d'\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 et 1,4 million de m\u00e8tres cubes de consommation d'eau, soit l'\u00e9quivalent de 560 piscines de taille olympique.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Situ\u00e9 dans le centre-ville de Toronto - l'un des centres urbains les plus denses d'Am\u00e9rique du Nord - ce projet complexe comprenait la construction d'un puits humide de 38 m\u00e8tres de profondeur \u00e0 l'emplacement d'une chambre \u00e0 vortex existante pour le nouveau syst\u00e8me de d\u00e9grillage et de pompage des eaux us\u00e9es, qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 raccord\u00e9 \u00e0 la conduite d'\u00e9gout en b\u00e9ton de 120 pouces de diam\u00e8tre. Un b\u00e2timent existant a \u00e9galement d\u00fb \u00eatre r\u00e9nov\u00e9 pour abriter 16 nouveaux \u00e9changeurs de chaleur Huber pour eaux us\u00e9es et cinq refroidisseurs\/pompes \u00e0 chaleur pour la nouvelle station de transfert d'\u00e9nergie.  Dans 30 salles m\u00e9caniques r\u00e9parties sur cinq pavillons de l'h\u00f4pital existant, Bird a install\u00e9 de nouveaux syst\u00e8mes de tuyauterie et de contr\u00f4le, et a remplac\u00e9 les serpentins des unit\u00e9s de traitement de l'air (AHU).<\/p>\n<p>L'\u00e9quipe de Bird a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 elle-m\u00eame tous les travaux importants, y compris les travaux m\u00e9caniques, \u00e9lectriques, les services publics, l'isolation, le b\u00e9ton et le coffrage. L'expertise de l'\u00e9quipe a apport\u00e9 des connaissances pr\u00e9cieuses \u00e0 l'ex\u00e9cution des travaux, permettant de g\u00e9rer les risques et d'am\u00e9liorer les r\u00e9sultats en mati\u00e8re de sant\u00e9, de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et d'environnement, tout en assurant la haute qualit\u00e9 n\u00e9cessaire \u00e0 la r\u00e9ussite du projet.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Le projet Toronto Western a \u00e9t\u00e9 financ\u00e9 avec l'aide de la Banque canadienne de l'infrastructure, de la VanCity Community Investment Bank et du Low Carbon Economy Fund, un fonds de $2 milliards destin\u00e9 \u00e0 promouvoir une croissance propre et \u00e0 r\u00e9duire les \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre.<\/p>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\"
