Bird Construction Acquires Dagmar Construction

High-performing civil infrastructure construction business

On September 1, 2021, Bird acquired Dagmar Construction, an Ontario-based construction company with over 80 years of experience across key civil infrastructure sub-sectors including road, bridge, rail, sewer and water, and commercial-institutional sites.

Dagmar’s reputation for solid execution, dependable operations, and a safety-oriented culture complements Bird’s approach to construction excellence. We are excited to leverage Dagmar’s experience in delivering complex, specialized projects in the transportation and rail market, and believe this will provide a platform to expand Bird’s national civil capabilities, including our self-perform capacity. It will also enhance our relationships in Canada’s largest civil infrastructure market, reinforcing the future potential of the integrated business.
