Chevron Summer Pipeline

Bird installed approximately 22 kilometres of four-inch flex pipe pipeline for sour gas transport and three-inch flex pipe pipeline for produced water.

Wabagishik Spillway Replacement Project

Located approximately 45km east of Sudbury, Ontario is a manually operated water control structure that is over 100 years old, nearing the end of its lifecycle. To remedy this, the team is acting as constructor and building a new and remotely operated spillway which will exceed current dam safety requirements and will have the ability to manage a one in 100-year flood.

Raw Pea Silos Reception & Storage Facility Project

Bird was responsible for the engineering, procurement, and construction of the Raw Pea Silos Reception & Storage facility. As part of the project, we performed the equipment selection, installation and pre-commissioning of the turnkey facility.

Alamos Gold Young Davidson Mine Gold Concentrator Process Plant

The Gold Concentrator Process Plant Project consisted of various mechanical, structural, piping, electrical and instrumentation scopes. Mechanical work required heavy rigging, installation, final alignments and grouting of process mechanical equipment such as the mill, conveyors and feeders, cyclones, float cells, thickener tanks, vessels, and pump.

Alberta Clipper Expansion Phase 1 and 2

Phase 1 of this expansion project involved upgrading Enbridge’s Line 67 from Saskatchewan through Manitoba, incorporating six pump stations. Phase 2 involved the construction of pump stations in Manitoba (St. Leon and West Souris) and Saskatchewan (Odessa and Langbank) to increase the capacity of Line 67 from southeastern Alberta to southern Manitoba.

Otto Holden Overhaul

The Otto Holden is a hydroelectric station located on the Ottawa River, near Mattawa, Ontario. Over the past few decades, there have been relative horizontal and vertical movement of the embedded unit components. The movement has been attributed to alkali-aggregate reactions (ARR) in the concrete and is expected to continue.
