Civil Infrastructure

Bird delivers trusted civil infrastructure for urban and suburban communities from coast-to-coast.

Bird has played an active role in the delivery of civil infrastructure across Canada’s energy, mining, transportation, and utilities markets for both public and private sector clients for many years. The team has a well-developed offering of underground, earthworks, and concrete services, as well as capabilities in contract mining, drilling and blasting, and hydroelectric construction.

Specialty offerings include one pass trenching, built upon the advantages of a proprietary equipment used for single-pass trenching for pipelines and utilities.

In September 2021, Bird acquired Dagmar Construction, a leading civil infrastructure company with over 80 years of operations and extensive experience delivering highly specialized and complex infrastructure projects. This has further strengthened Bird’s capabilities in civil infrastructure sub-sectors such as complex heavy and light rail work, utilities, earthworks, civil structures, underground, and site servicing

With the combined experience of our civil teams from coast to coast, the Civil Infrastructure team is well-positioned to provide a full service offering across Canada.
