Our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Commitment

At Bird, we value Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) and believe it is essential to our success. We will continue to listen, learn, and take action in our commitment to building progress in our organization, and the industry as a whole.

Cultivating an environment where all employees feel included, seen, and have a sense of belonging is core to Bird’s culture. We commit to proactively employing a workforce that reflects the communities in which we work, fostering an environment of continuous learning, and never compromising on our values.

To live up to our commitment, our 2023 –
2025 initiatives and actions are focused on:

1

Collecting diversity data to establish a baseline to further inform DE&I decisions and actions.

2

Building an inclusive culture through awareness & education campaigns and embedding DE&I in our policies and practices.

3

Recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce by broadening our talent pools and strengthening our inclusive hiring and onboarding practices.

4

Supporting the development of under represented / visible minority employee groups through mentoring programs and other initiatives.

5

Enabling collaboration and connection by establishing and supporting Employee Resource Groups.

6

Developing a holistic Voice of Employee Strategy where employees have a sense of being heard.

Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) provide a sense of inclusion and belonging and are a critical part of our ongoing Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion work. Our ERGs are employee-led and help to ensure that the different voices and experiences of our employees are heard.
