Scopes of work self-performed by Bird included:
- Facility piping and pipeline tie-ins, including all shutdown activities associated with the tie-in of 42” piping in the brownfield area of the facility along the existing Right-of-Way
- Installation of all equipment, including the PGT25+ gas turbine and PCL802 compressor unit
- All structural steel and concrete foundation installations
- Pre-commissioning services and commissioning assistance
Bird also worked with both local and Indigenous subcontractors for:
- Steel and concrete pile installations
- Earthworks activities, including general preparation and grading of the sites, and construction of new access roads
- Installation of pre-engineered buildings to house the new compressor units
- Electrical, instrumentation, and controls including new 25kV overhead power extensions
