A split-image shows cars driving on a sunlit road with lampposts and traffic lights, bordered by a sidewalk and trees. The scene is overlaid with green and orange diagonal stripes. A row of green and white GO Transit trains is parked at a station on a clear day, with one train near the platform and several others visible behind a fence. A concrete overpass with a modern structure above spans a divided roadway with several cars passing underneath; trees and grassy embankments line both sides under a clear sky. Dagmar Construction

Focused on Innovation and Quality

Over the past 80 years, Dagmar has earned a strong reputation in the construction industry for solid execution, dependable operations, and a safety-oriented culture. Through a continuous focus on innovation, Dagmar has developed a niche for delivery of complex and specialized civil infrastructure projects for both private and public owners.

Dagmar’s capabilities and service offerings, integrated with Bird’s existing civil business, contributes to increased diversification in a growing end-market with a strong outlook bolstered by government infrastructure commitments. Opportunities to capitalize on a higher portion of self-perform work in larger, complex projects further reinforces the integration of the two businesses.

Professional Engineers Ontario

Since 1990, Dagmar Construction has had a Certificate of Authorization issued by Professional Engineers Ontario. Accordingly, staff engineers can design temporary shoring and dewatering systems in-house. This enables our team to make design changes and adapt construction methodologies dynamically as unexpected conditions arise, saving critical time by eliminating the need to have the shop drawings revised by third party engineers.

Dagmar-Owned Equipment & Fleets

Dagmar owns and operates a complete fleet of modern heavy equipment. This includes excavators, bulldozers, tri-axle dump trucks, cranes, and more. Our fleet is moved from site to site as required by our 60 tonne floats. Dagmar has a fully equipped equipment repair shop located at our yard in Markham, ON. This includes a support staff of licensed mechanics, welders, and machinists to provide maintenance and repairs to the fleet. Welders and mechanics have mobile workstations which is particularly useful for overnight and weekend work.

Enhanced Capabilities

As Bird and Dagmar join forces, we continue to elevate our experience in complex, specialized projects while enhancing our relationships in Canada’s largest civil infrastructure market.
