CNRL Multi-Discipline Maintenance

Kirby and Jackfish operations are located approximately 85 km northeast of Lac La Biche, AB. CNRL uses (SAGD) technology for the recovery of bitumen from the in-situ oil sands resources. Kirby North and South include central bitumen processing facilities with production capacity of more than 80,000 bbl/d of bitumen. Jackfish has three central processing facilities with a design capacity of approximately 40,000 bbl/d each.

The teams are working together to leverage technology, operating, and technical expertise to maximize synergies between the CNRL assets.
 
Our team secured a MSA contract to provide multi-discipline mechanical maintenance and turnarounds at Kirby and Jackfish. The site-based team delivers day-to-day maintenance with a steady crew of over 70 highly skilled craftspeople. In addition, the team ramps up for major turnarounds every year to with an additional 200-300 people. 

With CNRL, our team executes over 150,000 person-hours annually while delivering exceptional safety performance, adding value to the services provided, and reducing overall gross spend in the region. The Embedded Maintenance Team self-performs Mechanical Maintenance, Pipefitting, Welding, Rotating Equipment, and Insulation.
