The new glazing had customized fletching that required it to be put into place in a pre-determined order. Installation of the new structural framing, roofing and glazing system took place around the existing glazing system. Once the new construction was completed, the existing framing and glazing system was demolished from within.

The facility remained open and operational to the public at all times, necessitating work to be completed after hours and on weekends. Bird also managed the challenges presented by the downtown location, including high volume traffic and very little physical space for construction staging or material laydown and storage.
