McMaster University Innovation Park Commercialization Development

This development will improve and expand the accommodations for research and commercialization at McMaster Innovation Park in Hamilton, Ontario. The project included the fit-out of shell space for BSL-2 laboratories and associated office space. In addition to the high-end research laboratories, a 2-storey atrium with 12-metre steel framed skylights were added to the existing warehouse structure while tenants were housed in the building. The project also included the construction of a second floor in certain areas within the existing warehouse to provide additional space for the current and future fit-outs. The anticipated construction area for this second floor is approximately 3,716 square metres.
