Savanna Market

Savanna Market is a mixed-use development serving the community of Saddle Ridge that provides space for retail, commercial, and medical services. The project required the phased construction of four buildings. This entailed a large amount of coordination among the teams to finish all site services, including asphalt paving. In addition, as the land was newly developed, all power and phone lines needed to be installed.

Although BIM was not mandated on this project, Bird used a model to review and identify potential conflicts. Using the model, Bird was able to coordinate the steel, HVAC, and other services to ensure conflict-free installations. Bird operated with an open and collaborative approach to ensure effective communication between all team members, enabling $500,000 in cost-saving options to be identified and implemented for the Owner.
