IOL MRO
At Stuart Olson MRO, we're proud to play a vital role in the operations of Imperial Oil's Cold Lake facility. Through our longstanding partnership, we offer multi-discipline maintenance, major turnarounds, and sustaining capital services across all five sites of the facility. We leverage our team of over 180 highly skilled professionals for day-to-day maintenance, and we're routinely expand our workforce by an additional 200-300 people for major annual turnarounds.
The Cold Lake operation is the oldest and largest commercial in-situ oil sands operation in the world Covering 780 square kilometers. They supply refineries across Canada and USA using a method of extraction that significantly reduces environmental impact by eliminating the need for open-pit mining.
We carry out over 400,000 person-hours of work annually, consistently maintaining an outstanding safety record. Our services are not only critical to the smooth operation of the Cold Lake facility, but they also contribute to reducing the overall gross spend in the region.
We've broadened our services to include steam generator maintenance and Leak detection and Repair (LDAR) scanning. By offering a bundled service model, we can reduce indirect costs, which translates into substantial cost savings for our client. Moreover, we're able to boost productivity and enhance schedule performance with our multi-discipline composite crews.
We also display a deep commitment to the local community, consistently facilitating significant Indigenous spend each year as a testament to our dedication to inclusive growth. In addition, our ongoing fundraising efforts have generated substantial contributions to charities, further highlighting our dedication to the welfare and development of the broader community.
At Stuart Olson, we're not just a service provider; we're a partner that Imperial Oil and the Cold Lake region can count on for excellence, innovation, and community engagement.
