The 17 Wing Fitness and Recreation Centre in Winnipeg received a 14,500 square foot addition to an existing multi-purpose sports and recreation facility. The addition consists of a teaching pool with wheelchair accessibility, hot tub, sauna, new showers, lockers and washrooms for both men and women and a separate family change area for wheelchair clients.
The main renovations to the existing facilities included upgrading the architectural finishes, installing a fire protection sprinkler system and replacing the existing air handling system with a new roof top and air handling units for the existing pool and gymnasium areas.
