The conference centre was designed as an expansion to the existing clubhouse for the Monterra Golf Course. Integrating the clubhouse into the new addition yielded meeting rooms ranging in size from 520 to 8,200 square feet, a main ballroom, a junior ballroom and a commercial kitchen.

The Blue Mountain Conference Centre is a good example of how a design-assist partnership can work to provide outstanding results. The management of Blue Mountain Resort came to Bird with a project that was substantially designed but was significantly over budget and asked for assistance in bringing the project costs into alignment. Bird examined all aspects of the project and was able to reduce costs without affecting the building appearance or function.
