Stuart Olson and Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) have forged a strong alliance that exemplifies a true partnership. CNRL, a premier Canadian oil and natural gas company, engages Stuart Olson on multiple projects at key sites, including Kirby North and South and Jackfish 1, 2, and 3. Here, Stuart Olson brings a wealth of expertise, offering comprehensive industrial maintenance, turnaround, and project services. The collaboration has recently broadened to include mechanical and bundle-pulling services at the Horizon project, planning and executing annual turnarounds.

At the Kirby and Jackfish sites, a dedicated Stuart Olson crew of 90 professionals delivers over 198,000 hours, consistently meeting and exceeding project benchmarks. During peak times at the Horizon site, the team expands to over 300 employees, showcasing the adaptability and scalability required to meet evolving project demands.
Among the many achievements of the Stuart Olson team, the completion of the first turnaround at the CNRL Horizon site stands out, wrapping up 54 hours ahead of schedule. This accomplishment saved both time and substantial costs, embodying the team's commitment to efficiency and results. At the CNRL Kirby North site, our team demonstrated excellence by swiftly repairing leaking tubes in the economizer section of a CNRL Kirby North CPF boiler. Within six days, they executed 15 welds, corrected previous manufacturing errors, and passed the x-ray inspection. This proficient response led to the boiler being operational a day ahead of schedule, saving significant revenue for CNRL.

CNRL's operations span across the Western Canadian provinces and include major projects such as the Horizon Oil Sands project, located 75 kilometres north of Fort McMurray, Alberta. This significant undertaking comprises surface oil sands mining, bitumen extraction, and bitumen upgrading, complete with associated infrastructure. CNRL's proactive growth strategy is also evident in their recent application for the Kirby East Extension Project, anticipated to extend the life of Kirby South by 10 years and boost its bitumen production capacity.

Stuart Olson's partnership with CNRL underscores our commitment to delivering innovative solutions, operational excellence, and prioritizing safety. Beyond our service delivery, we're dedicated to community involvement and sustainable practices, affirming that our success is not solely defined by business achievements but also by our positive impact on society and the environment.
