The first phase of the Erin Mills Town Centre redevelopment involved the reconfiguration of one quadrant of the mall to remove an intermediate cross corridor and to redemise the resulting space into nine commercial retail units.

The subsequent three phases involved the remodelling of the food court washroom facilities, repainting of the mall common space and upgrading the fire alarm system. All work was completed while the mall was in full operation. Bird worked closely with the operations staff to coordinate all construction activities so that the mall’s daily operations were not disrupted.
