The new Ancillary Services Building (ASB), is an integral component of the entire Etobicoke General Hospital master plan. The six-storey ASB will house physician offices and clinics, Osler ambulatory services, health sciences educational and simulation space, as well as 4,645-square-metres of new programmed space for the outpatient renal program and future planned ambulatory space intended to be relocated from the existing hospital.

The Ancillary Services Building (“ASB”) is proposed as an integral component of the entire EGH Master Plan. The ASB will house physician offices and clinics, Osler ambulatory services, health sciences educational and simulation space, currently located in the MOB and off site at Humber College, along with 50,000 nsf of new programmed space for the outpatient renal program and future planned ambulatory space intended to be relocated from the existing hospital. 

The ASB is a six storey, 225,000 SF structure including the penthouse with 1 level below grade parking. The building envelope includes roofing, terracotta panels, brick veneer and windows. An underground service connection (tunnel) as well as a “bridge” connection is being constructed by Project Co in the phase 1 Patient Tower Project to connect to the ASB and facilitate the movement of staff and supplies in support of clinical activity. The links from the ASB to the new hospital /Atrium public space will facilitate convenient all weather public circulation as well as allow for East/West vehicular movement between the two buildings.
