The addition to the existing Highvale maintenance facility includes three maintenance shop areas, a wash bay, sump, and mezzanine. The 12-metre high ceilings in the shops and wash bay allow sufficient space for the buckets of the heavy haulers to be positioned upright. Two-ton hoists and 50-ton cranes were also installed throughout the facility.

In addition to the shop expansion, two new pre-engineered buildings were constructed. A shower building that provides cleaning and locker facilities for staff, and a second muster building that includes offices, meeting rooms, and a covered canopy. Both buildings are connected to the central administration building by enclosed walkways.
