Bird was awarded a design-build contract for three industrial buildings: a 28,100 square foot oil treatment building, a 15,200 square foot water treatment building and a 40,000 square foot steam generation building.
These new buildings house process equipment for the Canadian Natural Resources Limited Kirby Lake In-Situ project. All three buildings are pre-engineered steel structures with a combination of foam panel and conventional cladding. One of the most challenging aspect of the project was erecting these building around existing and operating equipment.
