While the residence remained occupied, the team performed work including repainting, installing wall coverings and replacing flooring, fixtures, handrails and millwork to refresh the outdated residence. Bird also refurbished the common rooms, hallways, reception area, dining room and public washrooms.

To ensure the renovation did not interfere with the residents, Bird hosted weekly meetings with the tenants to inform them of upcoming construction activities. These meeting were well received, providing the residents an opportunity to voice their concerns.
