The Paul First Nation Health Centre is a single-storey wood structure located on the Paul First Nation reservation.
As the general contractor, Bird’s scope of work included traditional medicine rooms, ceremonial circles, as well as rooms to accommodate the dental, physiotherapy, therapy, examination, laboratories and community health. In addition, Bird worked with the owner to incorporate the region’s natural motifs into the facility.
Bird never underestimates the importance of effective subcontractor selection to ensure the success of a project. For the Paul First Nation Health Centre, Bird conducted a thorough assessment of the scope of work and subsequently determined the most suitable trade partners, which included many local native subcontractors. Following trade selection, Bird continued its efforts to ensure positive trade and supplier relationships throughout the project. Subsequently, the team was able to deliver a successful project due to the cooperation of all parties involved.
