Phase one included steel pipe pile foundations, two levels of underground parking and three levels of laboratory, office and common areas. Phase two consisted of a five-level office building over a single level of parking. The laboratory areas contain leading edge technology required for QLT's scientific program and the high-end finishes in the common and office areas are consistent with QLT's image as a world leader in their field.

The project was completed on a design-build basis to allow fast-tracking of the work. The project was further accelerated to meet the demands of QLT's explosive growth and regulatory commitments.
