With the advent of a grocery component in Shoppers Drug Mart stores, the Shoppers Drug Mart regional distribution facility required an expansion of 80,300 square feet. Unique to this expansion was the inclusion of large prefabricated coolers and freezers within the warehouse structure. The expansion was completed by constructing a diversion route for the transport trucks to facilitate the ongoing operations of the distribution centre.
