The generator building houses three 2,500 kVA generators and two sections of switch gear. The facility includes electrical power distribution through 400 metres of concrete-encased duct banks. The third project completed by Bird on this site, the standby generator building is composed of a concrete frame with masonry block infill and metal cladding. This project incorporated sound attenuation block to reduce engine noise transmission from the generators.

The team utilized weekly short cycle schedules to effectively coordinate all project activities. Faced with many changes to the design and additions to the project scope, the project team managed to successfully complete this project on schedule.
