This large scale project required close coordination with other contractors to ensure safety and efficiency. Immediately following the completion of the foundation work, the mechanical contractors were quickly mobilized, setting equipment and erecting steel. Exposure to the harsh northern Alberta winter required the installation of protective hoardings to ensure the project remained on schedule.
The utilization of an extensive heating system allowed construction to continue despite temperatures falling below minus 40 degrees Celsius.
