Tendered and constructed utilizing a design-build approach, the contract included five main buildings totalling over 100,000 square feet and a 25 acres site redevelopment that consisted of six northbound and five southbound inspection lanes. Work was completed on both sides of the border in strict compliance with the laws of the respective jurisdiction.

From start to finish, Bird provided a smooth transition from the old to the new facilities. The design and construction work required input and coordination with over 30 primary stakeholders. Excellent communication was required to coordinate the construction of 10 buildings over four phases. This ground breaking facility is an achievement all parties are proud to have been involved with.
