Each circular cell consisted of 154 steel sheet piles each measuring 26.5-metres in length. Two spud barges equipped with crawler cranes positioned templates and drove the steel sheet piles around the cell circumference.
A total of 42,050 cubic metres of crushed jaw run material was placed using backfilling operations. Wharf cells were protected using concrete ring beams measuring 5 x 3 x 0.6 metres. A total of 56 ring beams were installed.
